Revealed: Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6 and Buds3 Pro
Two of the most popular Android phones for several years have been Samsung's folding devices, the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold.
Today, the company announced the latest iterations of these advanced smartphones: the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The latest innovations incorporate advanced AI capabilities, including in the new Galaxy Buds3 Pro, marking a significant step forward in mobile technology.

The new Galaxy Z series is designed to optimise portability and aesthetics, boasting the slimmest and lightest foldables yet.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 offers a more natural bar-type viewing experience with its new cover screen ratio. Additionally, the dual rail hinge structure and enhanced layers on the main screen contribute to improved durability.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, combining best-in-class CPU, GPU, and NPU performance. The upgraded cooling system features a larger vapor chamber in the Fold6 and introduces a vapor chamber for the first time in the Flip6, enhancing performance and efficiency.
Galaxy Z Fold6: Screen Productivity
The Galaxy Z Fold6 integrates a range of AI-powered features that enhance productivity on its large screen. Samsung Notes introduces Note Assist, offering translation, summaries, and auto-formatting for easy meeting notes. The newly embedded transcript feature allows transcription, translation, and summarising of voice recordings directly in Notes.
The PDF overlay translation feature supports text in images and graphs, while the Composer in Samsung Keyboard generates suggested text based on keywords for emails and supported social media apps.
The S Pen experience is further expanded with Galaxy AI on the Galaxy Z Fold6’s screen. The new Sketch to Image feature generates image options from simple sketches or drawings. Google’s Gemini app is fully integrated, providing an AI-powered assistant to help with writing, learning, or planning by simply swiping the screen corner or saying, "Hey Google."
Interpreter mode maximises the dual-screen form factor for more natural interactions, offering both conversation mode and one-way translation for lectures and presentations. Live Translate extends real-time phone call translations beyond Samsung’s native calling app to select third-party apps.
The AI-powered ProVisual Engine enhances photo editing, while Portrait Studio offers a variety of portrait styles, and Instant Slow-mo allows detailed slow-motion video creation.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 also elevates the gaming experience with vivid graphics supported by Ray Tracing and a brighter 7.6-inch display, delivering more immersive gameplay.
Galaxy Z Flip6: Unique Experiences
The Galaxy Z Flip6 focuses on portability and customisation, with a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow enabling AI-assisted functions without opening the device. Suggested replies analyse messages to offer tailored responses, and FlexWindow provides access to Samsung Health updates, music widgets, and multiple Widgets simultaneously.
Customisation extends to the AI-powered Photo Ambient, which changes wallpaper in real-time based on time and weather. FlexCam continues to offer versatile camera experiences with new Auto Zoom, which detects the subject and adjusts framing hands-free.
