ASUS launches Zenbook S 14 in Australia & New Zealand

ASUS has announced the launch of the ASUS Zenbook S 14 in Australia and New Zealand, finalising its 2024 AI PC lineup.

This latest offering from ASUS is equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor (Series 2) and is aimed at students, professionals, and creatives who demand high performance and superior AI technology.

The Zenbook S 14, available for pre-order through major retailers in both Australia and New Zealand, features a sleek design. At just 1.1 cm thin and weighing 1.2 kg, it is crafted from durable Ceraluminum, providing a blend of lightness and strength. The device promises up to 27 hours of battery life and includes a 14" 3K OLED display for enhanced productivity.

The Zenbook S 14 integrates innovative design elements and high-tech materials. It is available in Zumia Grey and is built with Ceraluminum, combining the lightness and hardness of ceramic with the malleability of metal. The plasma electrolytic oxidation process used in its manufacture ensures scratch resistance and longevity.

ASUS has also enhanced the device's usability with a newly designed, enlarged touchpad that offers an intuitive input experience. The touchpad has a 20% noise reduction compared to previous generations, providing a quieter and more responsive clicking experience. The 3D-lattice ventilation grille design improves airflow and heat dissipation, ensuring better performance under various conditions.

Equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, the Zenbook S 14 achieves 47 NPU TOPS and offers the newest Intel AI experiences. It is an Intel Evo laptop with instant wake-up, fast WiFi connection, and high battery efficiency. The device includes a dedicated Copilot Key, granting users easy access to AI functionalities, which helps in power conservation.

This new Zenbook also features ASUS-exclusive StoryCube and MuseTree applications, which streamline creative workflows. StoryCube is a digital asset-management tool with AI assistance for scene categorisation and clip generation, while MuseTree transforms inspiration into imagery for more creative output.

The Zenbook S 14 is engineered for connection and productivity. It includes two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports that support fast charging, 4K external displays, and up to 40 Gbps data transfers, among other features. With USB-C Easy Charge support, users can charge the laptop using a variety of standard USB-C chargers, including those provided with the device.

The device also aims to provide a superior visual and audio experience. Its 3K OLED display offers high colour accuracy, reduced blue light emission, and Dolby Vision support, ensuring better visuals for professional and creative work. The Zenbook S 14's audio system is Dolby Atmos certified and Harman Kardon certified, promising high-quality sound.

In Australia, the ASUS Zenbook S 14 will be available from retailers such as JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Officeworks, and the ASUS E-shop, while in New Zealand, it will be available from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, and PB Technologies. The pricing is set at AUD $3,399 in Australia and NZD $3,799 in New Zealand.
