Solo.io launches Gloo Network for advanced Cilium management

Wed, 20th Mar 2024

Cambridge-based cloud-native application networking company, Solo.io, has announced the arrival of Gloo Network for Cilium, an advanced networking management solution which boosts the corporate takeover of Cilium technology. The eBPF-powered system tightens connectivity, refinement, and monitoring procedures, vanishes the complexity of Cilium's integration, and promotes service mesh transition thanks to its fine-tuned connection with Solo's Gloo Mesh Core.

Cilium's unique capacities and prosperous ecosystem are altering the trajectory of cloud native networking. Despite this, its assimilation remains a complicated task for companies. Solo.io's Founder and CEO, Idit Levine, stated: "With Gloo Network for Cilium, we're enabling organisations to maximise their cloud networking potential by removing the complexity and providing access to our world-class support team to ensure their ongoing success. Gloo Network for Cilium is an ideal starting point for those considering Cilium for application networking and provides them with options as their company's needs evolve."

Gloo Network for Cilium tows together leading networking, scalability, and observability tools into one inclusive solution that shaves down the complexity of Cilium's incorporation and monitoring process. The system's core advantages include streamlined adoption of upstream Cilium, enhanced performance in cloud-native infrastructures due to eBPF technology, and beneficial insights based on Solo.io's expertise which help refine service quality and customer satisfaction.

The network management solution also combines tools that reduce downtime and facilitate cost savings, with integrated security features that ensure protective data monitoring and compliance with regulatory standards. It also fosters expandability and future resilience by ensuring the network infrastructure aligns with business evolution, the company states.

"Solo.io is committed to driving the advancement of cloud-native application networking technologies within the CNCF community, and as Cilium continues to establish itself for the value it brings organisations, we're invested in ensuring those benefits are translated to customers," added Levine.

It was announced that the Gloo Network for Cilium is readily available for use. Furthermore, representatives from Solo.io will be attending KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2024 in Paris as Platinum sponsors and will also feature at Cilium + eBPF Day as Diamond sponsors, with a keynote being given by CEO, Idit Levine. The Solo.io team will be stationed at booth E3 in the Solutions Showcase, where visitors will have the opportunity to experience a demonstration of their technology.

Solo.io partners with hundreds of companies around the world, providing cloud-native API gateway, management, and service mesh. Solo.io provides solutions helping companies to secure, scale, and simplify their application networking. Companies use Solo.io to deliver modern applications faster, and across any cloud infrastructure.
