Talkdesk unveils cloud expansion to boost APAC growth

Today

Talkdesk has announced the launch of the Talkdesk Australia Regional Cloud, expanding its regional cloud deployment network to serve Asia-Pacific customers better.

The new cloud deployment allows businesses within the Asia-Pacific region to host their Talkdesk platforms locally, aiding compliance with local and industry-specific data residency and privacy requirements. This regional initiative is designed for banking, retail, and healthcare industries, which often have stringent data privacy needs.

By hosting the platform closer to customers' systems and end users, the Talkdesk Australia Regional Cloud aims to improve voice quality and thus enhance customer experiences through reduced latency. It represents a strategic investment in Talkdesk's expansion within the APAC region.

Talkdesk has established a strong presence in the region, supported by teams in countries including Australia, Singapore, the Philippines, China, Thailand, Korea, and India. The company recruits local talent, expands operations, and forms partnerships to drive growth and support customer success.

Tiago Paiva, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Talkdesk, stated, "APAC is an important market for Talkdesk. We've seen more than 100% growth in the region in the last six months due to our investments. The deployment of a regional cloud in Australia primes us for further growth and success by empowering businesses—including those in highly regulated industries—to reap the benefit of our AI solutions for elevating the customer experience while having peace of mind their data is protected."

In the past twelve months, the company has significantly increased its investments in the Asia-Pacific region, working with clients such as Metro Finance to achieve substantial savings. Notably, Talkdesk has facilitated a 40% reduction in Metro Finance's operating costs through its AI-powered CX solutions.

Simon Horrocks, who joined Talkdesk in February 2024 as Vice President of APAC, commented, "Talkdesk remains at the forefront of generative AI innovations in the contact center at a time when businesses need to deliver seamless CX more than ever. Some of Asia-Pacific's largest banks, e-tailers, and BPOs use Talkdesk, and the Australia Regional Cloud gives customers greater compliance with regulatory requirements, strengthened data security, and enhanced performance. This further highlights the company's commitment to being an AI-first CX leader in APAC."

The launch of the Talkdesk Australia Regional Cloud marks a strategic step in the company's expansion within the Asia-Pacific region. By enabling local hosting, Talkdesk aims to support businesses in meeting regulatory requirements while improving service performance. With a growing presence across multiple countries and a focus on AI-driven customer experience solutions, the company continues strengthening its position in the regional market.
