Teletrac Navman debuts consultancy for fleet decarbonisation

Today

Teletrac Navman has introduced a global consultancy service aimed at aiding fleets in developing comprehensive decarbonisation strategies for multi-energy operations.

The company, a prominent provider of connected mobility solutions, announced the service, which goes beyond electrification to include various energy types such as hydrogen, natural gas, and biodiesel.

Alain Samaha, President of Teletrac Navman, highlighted the broadened scope of the consultancy.

"This consultancy goes beyond just electrification to offer a more strategic long-term perspective on multi-energy transition across a broad range of energy types, helping businesses achieve critical net zero targets, reducing transition costs, and identifying new revenue streams," he said.

The service integrates market-leading analytics and technology to offer detailed insights into the economics, process management, and procurement necessary for enterprise sustainability and decarbonisation strategies.

The consultancy will also provide clients access to the wider Vontier ecosystem, involving multi-energy products across infrastructure, energy management, and fleet operations. This aims to create a unified approach to business operations and decarbonisation. Samaha added, "We are operating in a dynamic business and sustainability landscape, which is evolving so quickly that it can make longer-term decision-making complex."

He further explained the service's potential impact on businesses with significant capital and operational expenditure requirements. "This is particularly impactful on businesses that require considerable capital and operational expenditure."

"With that in mind, our new service will provide detailed financial analysis and emission pathways under different scenarios and sensitivities for periods up to ten years, which we're confident will be a game changer for businesses planning multi-energy transitions."

The launch of this new consultancy service follows the successful rollout earlier this year of Teletrac Navman's Electric Vehicle Evaluator (EVE) platform. EVE uses telematics data and predictive analytics to assist in the transition of light vehicles to electric. It provides intelligence in three key areas: feasibility planning, financial planning, and infrastructure design.

EVE supports detailed capex planning and facilitates expenditure conversations, thereby helping businesses make informed strategic decisions. This broad scope of services aligns with the pressing needs for sustainable and efficient energy solutions within fleet operations.

Teletrac Navman's consultancy service aims to mitigate the complexities of transitioning to multi-energy systems, offering tailored strategies to help achieve sustainability goals. The comprehensive service package and the insights offered are designed to support businesses in meeting their net zero targets while also identifying new opportunities for revenue.
