The Instillery launches affordable Microsoft MDR services in New Zealand
The Instillery, an IT and security solutions provider in New Zealand, has launched new Microsoft Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services. This endeavour aims to bolster comprehensive cybersecurity for many New Zealand businesses, extending help to those who have, in the past, found it challenging to justify investments in cybersecurity services.
Jeremy Nees, Chief Operating Officer at The Instillery asserted, "Our mission is to close the gap in the New Zealand market where leaner businesses have been getting breached and have been unable to respond because they feel they can't afford to implement the basics of cybersecurity." He further added, "These new MDR services have been designed based on our deep experience working with customers in this space."
The newly introduced MDR services significantly involve the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint offering. The idea is to utilise many existing Microsoft licences that a lot of businesses already possess. For instance, a typical Microsoft 365 Business Premium bundle. Through this, The Instillery plans to extend comprehensive security monitoring and response services at competitive prices. The initiative intends to help customers optimise the value of their existing investments, especially those who haven't utilised the full potential of features they are currently licensed for.
On top of the launch of the new MDR services, The Instillery is also bringing Sam Leggett, a former CERT NZ employee, on board as a Security Consultant. According to Nees, CERT NZ has been doing an extraordinary job educating and offering support to Kiwi organisations of all shapes and sizes. "We see this as a great opportunity to support these endeavours and make cybersecurity services much more accessible to New Zealand businesses," added Nees.
The new range of services aspires to make cybersecurity more feasible for New Zealand businesses by lowering the barriers to adoption, which usually are high costs and understanding of risks. Nees stresses, "our services are about lowering the barriers to adoption, which are often cost and understanding risks."
The intent is to make cybersecurity an achievable goal within the financial reach of many local businesses. By empowering more businesses, The Instillery has taken a substantial step towards strengthening the overall cybersecurity landscape in New Zealand.
The Instillery offers cloud, modern work, connectivity, managed services and security solutions to help businesses innovate and transform. The company states it is focused on resolving complex problems, and instilling confidence and repeat success for their clients.
