Trend Micro appoints Chris Zamagias to lead ANZ partnerships

Tue, 23rd Jul 2024

Trend Micro has announced the appointment of Chris Zamagias as the new Head of Partnerships and Alliances for its Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) commercial business.

Zamagias brings over 35 years of experience in IT and sales within the channel and reseller community, with a specialised focus on cybersecurity and networking. His career includes roles at Juniper Networks, F5 Networks, Symantec, and Aqua Security. His appointment follows the recent appointment of Srujan Talakokkula as Managing Director earlier this year. This move underscores the company's commitment to the channel community, aiming to support, build, and nurture partners and resellers in the ANZ region.

Srujan Talakokkula, Managing Director at Trend Micro, ANZ, Commercial, commented on the appointment, saying, "Chris's extensive experience in developing and managing channel communities across the region will be an invaluable addition to our business. At Trend Micro, our focus is on treating our partners as an extension of our team, supporting them with the resources to maximise growth, competence, and help meet the evolving needs of our joint customers."

Trend Micro had previously announced a redesign of its Global Partner Program to accelerate business growth for its partners and deliver enhanced value to customers. The program is built around the Trend Vision One platform, creating opportunities for partners to deliver services and assessments for both enterprise and small-to-medium business (SMB)-focused partners. It aims to empower partners through personalised solutions and enablement plans tailored to each business model. This includes training and development, tiered benefits, digital services, and specialised playbooks.

Chris Zamagias expressed his enthusiasm about joining Trend Micro, saying, "With the rapidly evolving threat and cybersecurity landscape, and ever-increasing complexity of environments, I'm incredibly excited to be joining a global leader like Trend Micro. I pride myself on identifying opportunities and implementing programs to grow business opportunities, so look forward to working with partners to garner mutual success in improving cyber resiliency of businesses across Australia and New Zealand."
