V2 AI has achieved Amazon Web Services AI Competency in the Agentic AI category, recognising the consultancy's work with organisations using AWS technologies.

The accreditation acknowledges expertise in designing, implementing and scaling agentic AI systems. It places the Asia Pacific consultancy among AWS partners approved under the cloud provider's competency programme for the field.

V2 AI said the recognition reflects its work across data foundations, architecture, governance, security and applied AI. It added that the competency builds on its consulting and engineering work in data and AI modernisation.

AWS says its competency programme is designed to help customers identify partners with expertise in AWS technologies and best practices for adopting agentic AI. The programme includes partners serving both startups and large enterprises.

Regulated sectors

The consultancy focuses on AI projects in regulated industries including financial services, energy, telecommunications and government. It operates across Asia Pacific, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Founded in 2023, the company positions itself as an AI-focused consultancy that integrates data, workflows and governance with AI systems in existing business environments.

Craig Howe, Chief Executive Officer of V2 AI, said the competency aligns with that approach.

"V2 AI is proud to achieve the AWS AI Competency in the Agentic AI category," said Craig Howe, Chief Executive Officer of V2 AI.

"Our team is dedicated to helping customers achieve tangible business objectives by leveraging the agility, breadth of services, and pace of innovation that AWS provides."

Howe also pointed to the operational issues that often shape deployments in larger organisations.

"From protecting sensitive data to integrating AI into existing systems, we're focused on helping organisations address the practical challenges that come with AI implementation," he said.

Customer work

Among the projects cited by the consultancy is an AI assistant developed for Allianz Retire+. The tool, known as Ada, was built to support financial advisers, paraplanners and other users working with the Allianz Guaranteed Income for Life retirement income product.

According to V2 AI, the system uses Amazon Bedrock, which it said was chosen for its reasoning performance and suitability for regulated environments.

Allianz Retire+ described the assistant as a way to simplify access to product information for advisers. David Kane, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Retire+, said the tool was designed to improve usability while maintaining controls around quality and accuracy.

"We've listened to advisers and recognised that for them to effectively solve for their clients' retirement needs, they first need a frictionless way to master the tools at their disposal. Ada allows advisers to ask questions and receive robust answers within seconds, freeing up their time to focus on building better retirements for their clients," said Kane.

Howe said organisations that gain lasting returns from AI are those that connect the technology to broader business change.

"The organisations that create lasting value from AI will be those that can connect the technology to their business. Data, workflows and governance all require transformation alongside the technology to operate it with confidence," he said.
