Oracle NetSuite has announced the launch of NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro, an AI-powered extension to its project management solution, previously known as NetSuite OpenAir. The new solution aims to help organisations reduce risks, optimise resource allocation, and scale their operations more efficiently.
Evan Goldberg, founder and executive vice president of Oracle NetSuite, explained, “As businesses expand, their needs become more complex, and projects require more intentional monitoring and resourcing to maintain project profitability and meet key milestones. NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro enables project-based businesses to take advantage of the latest advancements in AI to improve the speed of workflows and increase efficiency by automating staffing, scheduling, budget tracking, and billing.”
NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro incorporates several new capabilities designed to improve the management of projects across industries. Key features include AI-powered project risk analysis and AI-powered staffing recommendations. These features utilise historical data and key metrics to help project managers monitor project health, anticipate issues, and accelerate project planning by matching projects with suitable talents and skills.
The AI-powered project risk analysis aims to help customers prevent delays by proactively calculating and analysing risks. This is expected to enhance the ability to monitor project health and mitigate potential issues before they impact project timelines. On the other hand, the AI-powered staffing recommendations are designed to improve resource allocation by identifying the right talent for projects at their inception, thus increasing project efficiency.
The new Oracle Redwood user experience enhancements included in NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro are intended to increase productivity. These enhancements feature global search, role-specific and actionable task lists, and a visually engaging home page displaying key metrics, KPIs, and charts. According to Oracle NetSuite, these improvements are focused on delivering a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
Additionally, NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro is offered as an all-in-one package with per-user pricing. This model is designed to help customers expand access to NetSuite, reduce costs, and align the solution's usage with business growth.
NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro builds on the capabilities of NetSuite SuiteProjects, a professional services automation (PSA) solution integrated within NetSuite’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The original SuiteProjects assists with project planning, staffing, billing, and reporting to enhance the speed and profitability of operations. The new Pro version aims to optimise the entire project delivery lifecycle further, incorporating advanced AI and automation features.
